About Cashbox

Cashbox exists because event finance is its own discipline, not a settings menu inside accounting software.

The product is shaped around the messy middle of live production: multiple stakeholders, moving budgets, foreign currency, fast approvals, and a very short window to stay on top of margin.

Why we built it

The spreadsheet stack keeps working right up until it really doesn’t.

Teams running festivals and live productions often end up with budgets in sheets, approvals in email, files in drives, and accounting somewhere downstream. That stack survives longer than it should because every part is familiar.

Cashbox is built to replace that patchwork with one event-native system: budgets, expenses, revenue, approvals, and auditability in the same place.

What we care about
Event-native finance
Structure around the show, not around the chart of accounts alone.
Real operational visibility
Finance should help decisions while the event is live, not only after it closes.
Calm close-out
The producer and the accountant should both trust the same record.

Working principles

Show the money where it happens

Cashbox keeps financial activity attached to the event itself so the real operating picture stays visible.

Make accountability normal

Approvals, payment state, and history should be obvious enough that teams do not need detective work at month-end.

Respect how event teams actually work

The product is meant to fit finance, production, and management together without forcing one team to live inside another team’s tool.

If this sounds like your team’s problem, let’s talk.

We’re happy to walk through the workflow and pressure-test whether Cashbox is the right fit.
